Abacus/AbaBau isn't a central cloud API — it's a standalone installation per customer (on-premise or hosted). Access won't be self-service: your IT department or Treuhand partner first needs to create a dedicated AbaConnect WebService user and authorize it in Abacus user management (a required step for any WebService access as of Abacus V2018) — there is no public Abacus sandbox to try it out first. Once connected, the BauGPT assistant will read live from your AbaConnect WebServices interface: it will look up projects (ProjectBase) and search logged cost/performance bookings (ProjectBooking), optionally filtered to one project. The connection will be read-only — BauGPT will never change, create or delete anything in your AbaBau installation.

What this integration does

  Recorded performance and cost bookings will become searchable in chat, optionally filtered to one project.

• Direct access to your own installation

  BauGPT will connect directly to your own Abacus instance via AbaConnect — your data stays in your own installation.

How to set it up

   Join the waitlist to be notified as soon as the integration is available.

   Have your IT department or Treuhand partner create a dedicated AbaConnect WebService user and authorize it in Abacus user management ahead of time — this step is a prerequisite and can't be done by BauGPT.

   Once available, you'll enter your installation's AbaConnect WebServices URL, your Mandant number, the username, the interface version (e.g. 2023.00) and the password under Settings → Integrations → Abacus/AbaBau in BauGPT Pro.

When is the Abacus/AbaBau integration coming?

It's planned, but has a prerequisite outside our control: Abacus is a standalone installation per customer, and the AbaConnect WebService user must be manually authorized by your IT department or Treuhand partner. Join the waitlist to be notified.

Do I need my own Abacus/AbaBau installation?

Yes. Abacus is a standalone installation per customer (on-premise or hosted) — there will be no central, shared Abacus access.

Do I need to set up anything special in Abacus?

Yes. Your IT department or Treuhand partner will need to create a dedicated AbaConnect WebService user and authorize it in Abacus user management. This won't be a self-service step in Abacus.

Will there be a test environment to try the integration beforehand?

No, Abacus does not offer public sandbox access. The connection will be established directly against your production (or your own self-provided test) installation.

Will BauGPT be able to change data in AbaBau?

No. The integration will be read-only — BauGPT will retrieve data from AbaBau but never change, create or delete anything there.
