How to set it up

Check with your Fieldwire account owner whether API access is enabled on your account — it's a paid Enterprise add-on and may need to be activated via Fieldwire sales first.

Generate an API token in Fieldwire under "Account → API Settings" (only visible once API access is enabled).

Connect Fieldwire in BauGPT Pro under Settings → Integrations with a few clicks using that token. BauGPT detects the region automatically — you can optionally set the base URL yourself.

- How do I connect Fieldwire?
- Generate an API token in Fieldwire under "Account → API Settings" and enter it in BauGPT Pro under Settings → Integrations. That is all it takes — BauGPT detects the region automatically.
- Do I need a special Fieldwire plan?
- Yes. Fieldwire's API is included on Enterprise-tier contracts, or available as a paid add-on to Pro, Business and Business Plus plans through Fieldwire sales. Without API access enabled, the connection fails with a clear error.
- Does BauGPT write data back to Fieldwire?
- No. The connection is deliberately read-only — BauGPT retrieves data from Fieldwire but never changes anything there.
- Which Fieldwire data can I query in chat?
- Projects, tasks and punch lists, plan sheets, and forms (daily reports, inspections, checklists) — all scoped to a project.
- My projects are hosted in the EU — does that work?
- Yes. When you connect, BauGPT detects which Fieldwire region your projects are in and points the connection there. You can also set the base URL yourself instead.
