Asta Powerproject
The integration will connect the Asta Vision API — Asta Powerproject's paid Vision Plus add-on — read-only to BauGPT Pro's chat. Desktop-only users without Asta Vision Plus will not be able to use this integration.
Visit Asta Powerproject websiteImportant context: Asta Powerproject as a desktop application has no cloud interface at all — only local COM/OLE automation. This integration will instead connect to the Asta Vision API — a REST interface only available with an Asta Vision cloud deployment plus the separately paid "Asta Vision Plus" add-on. Access will not be self-service: your Vision administrator will create a personal API access key for you in Asta Vision, tied to your user account, which must be renewed after a set validity period (e.g. 3 months). Once you have entered the key and the API gateway URL from your Vision API Portal in BauGPT, you will be able to ask in chat about projects, tasks, progress data and calendars from your Asta Vision instance. The integration will be read-only — BauGPT will never change, create or delete anything in Asta Vision.

Your Vision instance's calendars, exceptions and work patterns will become retrievable in chat.
How to set it up

In the meantime, confirm whether your company already runs Asta Vision WITH the paid "Asta Vision Plus" add-on — without Vision Plus no API connection will be possible, not even with a regular desktop license.

Once available, you will ask your Asta Vision administrator to create a personal API access key for you under Home → Admin → API Keys, and to give you the API gateway URL from your API Portal (not your Vision web interface address — the portal shows its own gateway address, which differs per customer). The key is shown only once and expires after the validity period your administrator sets.

You will then open Settings → Integrations in BauGPT Pro and enter the API access key and the API gateway URL under "Connect Asta Powerproject". BauGPT will verify the credentials directly against your Vision instance.

FAQ
- Will a regular Asta Powerproject desktop license be enough for this integration?
- No. The desktop application has no cloud interface at all. This integration will require Asta Vision WITH the separately paid "Asta Vision Plus" add-on.
- Will I be able to self-register for the integration?
- No. Per Asta's own documentation, only your Vision administrator can issue personal API access keys — there will be no public self-registration.
- Will my API key ever expire?
- Yes. Keys are given a validity period chosen by the administrator at creation (per Asta's documentation, for example 3 months) and must be renewed afterwards.
- Will BauGPT be able to change data in Asta Vision?
- No. The integration will be read-only — BauGPT will retrieve data from Asta Vision but never write or change anything there.
- When is the Asta Powerproject integration coming?
- There's no firm date yet, since activation depends on your company's existing Asta Vision Plus subscription. Join the waitlist to be notified.
