Access won't be self-service: STACK only issues API credentials after a 'Request API Access' request, an approval call, and partner account setup with encrypted credential delivery. This will also require an API-enabled STACK subscription. Once you've entered the client id and client secret STACK issued you plus the API server address assigned to you, you'll be able to ask in chat about a project's plan folders, and look up individual files, takeoff pages and estimate proposals once you already know their id. You won't have to manage an access token yourself — BauGPT obtains one from STACK's OAuth endpoint and renews it automatically. STACK publishes no list of all projects, and this integration won't list takeoffs or estimates either — ids will need to come from STACK itself or from earlier in the conversation. The integration will be read-only — BauGPT will never change, create or delete anything in STACK.

What this integration does

• Find plan folders in chat

  BauGPT will be able to search a STACK project's folder structure and return matches live.

• Look up individual plans

  A known file id will be fetched directly from STACK by BauGPT.

• Retrieve takeoff pages

  A single page of a digital takeoff will be lookupable by its id.

• Look up estimates

  A known STACK estimate proposal will be retrievable in full by BauGPT on request.

How to set it up

   Join the waitlist to be notified as soon as the integration is available.

   Once available, you'll request API access from STACK ("Request API Access"); STACK follows up with an approval call and then sets up a partner account with encrypted credential delivery — this will require an API-enabled STACK subscription and lead time.

   You'll then open Settings → Integrations in BauGPT Pro and enter the client id, the client secret and the API server address STACK assigned you under "Connect STACK".

Will I be able to search across any STACK project in BauGPT?

You'll be able to search the plan folders in the root of a project you already know; subfolders aren't included. STACK publishes no list of all projects — the project id will need to come from STACK itself or from the conversation. Takeoff pages and estimates will only be fetchable by an id you already know, not searchable.

Will BauGPT be able to change data in STACK?

No. The integration will be read-only — BauGPT will retrieve data from STACK but never write or change anything there.

Will there be rate limits on retrieval?

STACK doesn't publish any figures. BauGPT will throttle requests locally as a precaution.

Will STACK be available outside the US?

This integration targets the US market, where STACK is primarily used.
