Your Area of Responsibility

For our subsidiary K&T Infrastruktur GmbH, an established mid-sized company with over 60 years of experience in utility line construction, road construction, and civil engineering/earthworks, we’re looking for you as a Site Manager (m/f/d) Civil Engineering (Saxony/Thuringia) with the following tasks:

• You’re responsible for managing projects for the construction and maintenance of fiber-optic and copper networks.
• You coordinate and check subcontractor trades, especially in civil engineering/earthworks.
• You ensure the construction process runs smoothly and that on-site result/quality checks are carried out.
• You handle technical instruction and lead the blue-collar/on-site workforce.
• You’re responsible for planning and managing staff deployment as well as material scheduling/disposition.
• You prepare notices of construction delays and manage prompt defect rectification.
• You’re responsible for checking and ensuring compliance with all technical and legal requirements regarding quality, occupational safety, and environmental protection during construction.
• Creating measurements/as-builts, documentation, and the related acceptances/sign-offs is part of your responsibilities.

Your Skills

• You’ve successfully completed a skilled trade or technical vocational training program or have a comparable qualification—ideally as a master road builder, civil engineer, or construction technician (m/f/d).
• You have professional experience in site management for civil engineering/earthworks, cable/utility line construction, and/or fiber-optic projects.
• You have experience in technically leading staff and subcontractors.
• You can demonstrate expertise in construction contract law and construction technology (VOB).
• You have strong IT skills and are confident using common MS Office programs, especially Excel.
• You stand out through structured, independent work with a strong focus on quality in project delivery.
• You show a willingness to compromise and diplomatic skills when dealing with our customers and service providers.
