Your Responsibilities

To further professionalize and ensure sustainable growth for our client, we are looking for you as Head of Construction (m/f/d) with clear operational responsibility and a strong presence in the project business.

A leading company in the construction industry specializes in demanding projects in cable civil engineering as well as the expansion of fiber optic and energy infrastructures.

• You take on operational responsibility for construction execution in your region
• You handle the disciplinary leadership of the site managers in your region and are responsible for their deployment and performance in daily business
• You ensure that our construction projects are implemented on time, with high quality, and within budget
• You coordinate several ongoing construction sites at once and keep an eye on construction progress
• You manage the use of subcontractors, crews, and equipment in daily operations
• You spot deviations early and ensure pragmatic, solution-oriented implementation on-site
• You are the main contact for customers, clients, and construction partners on the job site
• You ensure compliance with occupational safety and quality standards
• You work closely with internal departments and ensure smooth processes on the construction site

Your Skills

• You have a degree in civil engineering, further training as a master road builder, or a similar practical qualification in civil engineering
• You bring several years of experience in operational site management in civil engineering / fiber optic expansion
• You have managed several construction sites at the same time and are used to keeping an overview during ongoing operations
• You know how to work with subcontractors, crews, and foremen from practical experience
• You are confident with construction processes, technical regulations, and site organization
• You make pragmatic decisions and implement them directly on the construction site
• You enjoy being on-site, tackling issues, and staying solution-oriented even when things get tough
• You have the necessary willingness to travel within Thuringia and Saxony
