Your tasks at Geiger:
- Independently managing and carrying out permit procedures (e.g., BBergG, BImSchG, WHG/AwSV, BauO)
- Developing permit documents
- Coordinating with / managing internal departments, external experts, and engineering firms
- Communicating with permit authorities (e.g., LAGB, LVwA)
- Supporting scoping meetings, discussion procedures, and hearings
- Creating tenders for public and private procurement processes
- Monitoring changes in legal frameworks and figuring out what needs to be done
- Helping to ensure compliance with existing permits
- Planning and executing projects
What we're looking for:
- A degree in environmental engineering, geosciences, process engineering, mining, or a similar qualification
- Several years of experience in permit management, ideally in a mining or industrial setting
- Solid knowledge of relevant legal regulations (BImSchG, BBergG, WHG/AwSV, BauO)
- Ability to get technical content across clearly and concisely
- Structured, independent, and solution-oriented way of working
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, especially when dealing with permit authorities
