Your tasks at Geiger
- Independently managing and handling permitting processes (e.g. BBergG, BImSchG, WHG/AwSV, BauO)
- Preparing permit application documents
- Coordinating with / managing internal specialist departments, external experts, and engineering firms
- Communicating with permitting authorities (e.g. LAGB, LVwA)
- Supporting scoping meetings, discussion procedures, and hearings
- Creating tenders for public and private procurement procedures
- Monitoring changes in legal/regulatory requirements and deriving what action is needed
- Supporting compliance with existing permits
- Planning and executing projects
What we’re looking forward to
- Completed degree in environmental engineering, geosciences, process engineering, mining, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in permitting management, ideally in a mining or industrial environment
- Solid knowledge of the relevant regulations (BImSchG, BBergG, WHG/AwSV, BauO)
- Ability to clearly and simply get technical topics across
- Structured, independent, solution-oriented way of working
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, including when dealing with permitting authorities
