We’re looking for a Project Manager (m/f/d) for Security Technology on behalf of our client.

A leading player in the construction industry, our client brings together several specialized companies with nearly 60 years of combined expertise. They handle everything from fire alarms and voice evacuation systems to full-scale security solutions for businesses of all sizes.

The office offers modern working conditions in an innovative environment. You’ll join a motivated team that balances tradition with technical innovation, located in a region known for short commutes, great infrastructure, and a high quality of life.

Your Role

In this position, you’ll take charge of planning, managing, and executing security technology projects. You’ll coordinate the technical, organizational, and financial sides of things to make sure projects run efficiently, meet all standards, and keep customers happy—from the initial plan to the final sign-off.

Your tasks at a glance:

  • Plan and manage security tech projects (e.g., fire alarms, intruder alerts, CCTV, access control).
  • Lead and coordinate project teams (technicians, installers, draftsmen) and stay in close contact with customers, suppliers, and partners.
  • Keep an eye on quality, deadlines, and costs throughout every project phase.
  • Create quotes, cost estimates, and supplementary offers alongside sales and management.
  • Handle the technical and commercial side of projects from order to handover.
  • Act as the go-to person for customers and authorities (fire departments, experts, site managers).
  • Ensure everything follows the rules and standards (like DIN 14675, VDE 0833, VdS, MLAR).
  • Advise customers on technical solutions, upgrades, and expansions.
  • Document project progress and handle regular controlling and reporting.
  • Organize training for the project team.
  • Take part in the on-call rotation.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • A technical background with further training as a technician, master craftsman, engineer, or similar in electrical/security engineering.
  • Several years of experience managing security tech projects (fire alarms, intruder alerts, video, etc.).
  • Solid knowledge of the relevant standards (DIN 14675, VDE 0833, VdS, MLAR).
  • Experience leading and coordinating project teams.
  • Confident using project management tools; CAD and documentation system skills are a plus.
  • A good head for business—experience with calculations, quoting, and managing extra costs.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills when dealing with clients and authorities.
  • A structured, responsible, and solution-oriented way of working.
  • High motivation to get projects successfully across the finish line.
  • Fluent German (C1 level).
  • A Class B driver’s license and willingness to travel within the region.

  • Modern tools and tech (iPhone, iPad).
  • A company car, also available for private use (1% rule).
  • Weekend work is rare to non-existent.
  • Multi-day trips only happen if you explicitly agree to them.
