Details about the role and requirements

We’re looking for a Project Manager for Security Technology on behalf of our client.

Welcome to Berlin!

A leading player in the construction industry is bringing several specialized fields together under one roof. Together, we represent nearly 60 years of expertise in security and telecommunications—ranging from fire alarms and voice alerts to full-scale security solutions for businesses of all sizes.

As part of a team of over 500 colleagues, you’ll work on exciting projects using the latest tech, helping people and businesses stay safe. With our client, you’ll have the chance to make a real impact for customers and for a secure future.

You’ll be based in the heart of the capital at a central location with great transport links. The Berlin team blends technical know-how with a start-up vibe—an environment where teamwork and innovation are top priorities.

Your Role

In this position, you’ll take charge of planning, managing, and executing security technology projects. You’ll coordinate the technical, organizational, and financial sides of things to make sure projects run efficiently, meet all standards, and keep customers happy—from the first sketch to the final sign-off.

Your tasks at a glance:

  • Planning and running security tech projects (e.g., fire alarms, intruder alerts, CCTV, access control).
  • Leading project teams (technicians, installers, draftsmen) and staying in close contact with clients, suppliers, and partners.
  • Keeping quality, deadlines, and costs on track throughout the project.
  • Creating quotes, costings, and follow-up offers alongside sales and management.
  • Handling the technical and commercial side of projects from start to finish.
  • Acting as the go-to person for clients and authorities (fire department, experts, site management).
  • Making sure all relevant standards and regulations are met (DIN, VDE, VdS, etc.).
  • Advising clients on technical solutions and upgrades.
  • Documenting progress and keeping up with reporting and controlling.
  • Organizing training for the project team.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • A completed vocational training in electronics or IT/telecommunications.
  • Further training as a technician or master craftsman—or a degree in engineering or business.
  • We’re also open to career changers with equivalent, proven experience.
  • Several years of hands-on experience in electrical engineering, security tech, or IT systems.
  • Experience in project management and ideally some initial leadership experience.
  • Solid project management skills, including basic knowledge of contracts (VOB/B, BGB).
  • Familiarity with relevant standards (DIN VDE, EN 54, etc.).
  • A basic understanding of business principles and comfort using IT systems.
  • An independent, structured, and solution-oriented way of working.
  • High reliability, commitment, and a sense of responsibility.
  • Strong communication skills, customer focus, and a team-player attitude.
  • Great organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects.
  • A friendly, confident, and professional manner.
  • Business-fluent German (C1).
  • A Class B driver’s license.

The Perks

  • Permanent employment contract.
  • A job in a crisis-proof industry.
  • 30 days of vacation.
  • 40-hour work week.
  • Modern tools, testing equipment, and communication devices.
  • A company car, also available for private use (1% rule).
  • Weekend work is rare to non-existent.
  • Multi-day assignments only happen with your explicit consent.
  • Training and development opportunities for professional and personal growth.
  • Option for mobile work.
  • Private pension scheme (salary conversion).
  • JobRad (bike leasing).
  • Team events.
  • Access to non-cash benefits.
