Junior Controller (m/f/d)

We’re looking for a Junior Controller (m/f/d) in Cologne on behalf of our client.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Create and improve monthly reports for Finance, HR, and Operations.
• Analyze KPIs, variances, and trends—and come up with actual recommendations.
• Help out with budget planning, forecasts, and profitability calculations.
• Build, maintain, and optimize Excel tools, reports, and dashboards.
• Work closely with other departments (Finance, HR, Operations)—you’re a sparring partner, not a lone wolf.
• Help develop and improve controlling processes and structures.
• Handle ad-hoc analyses for management decisions.
• Question existing processes and bring fresh ideas to the table.

YOUR PROFILE

• A degree in business administration and/or a commercial background.
• Initial experience in controlling, finance, or data analysis (internships, working student roles, or entry-level).
• Strong analytical and logical thinking skills.
• An affinity for numbers isn't just a skill for you—it’s a mindset.
• Excel is basically your hobby.
• Interest in strategic questions and a drive to get things done.
• A structured, independent, and solution-oriented way of working.
• Curiosity, initiative, and the courage to think outside the box.
• Strong communication skills—you can explain numbers, not just crunch them.
• Knowledge of DATEV is a nice bonus.
