Design Manager for Turnkey Construction Mega Projects (m/f/d)
What you will do with us
On behalf of our client, we're looking for a Design Manager for turnkey building construction major projects (m/f/d) based in Cologne.
Tasks
- You'll coordinate and manage the planning processes across all phases
- You'll act as the link between the client, planning partners, specialist engineers, and the construction team
- You'll make sure planning stays on schedule, within budget, and meets quality standards
- You'll check and approve planning documents
- You'll handle planning changes and change management
- You'll lead planning meetings and coordinate between different disciplines
- You'll ensure compliance with norms, standards, and official regulations
- As Design Manager (m/f/d), you'll support project management with contracts and technical decisions
What we're looking for
- A degree in civil engineering, architecture, or something similar
- Several years of experience in planning, site management, or planning management
- Solid knowledge of HOAI, VOB, and relevant standards and regulations
- Experience managing complex construction projects and planning teams
- Good skills in CAD/BIM and common project management tools
- Analytical thinking and a structured, solution-oriented way of working
- Strong communication and assertiveness
- Team spirit and great organizational skills
- Willingness to travel and work at construction sites/project locations within Germany
