Strategic Buyer (m/f/d) for Modular Buildings

We’re looking for a Strategic Buyer (m/f/d) for modular buildings on behalf of our client.

What you’ll be doing:

• Buying materials, raw goods, supplies, and subcontractor services
• Putting together inquiries and specs with bills of quantities
• Making sure everything is procured on time and comparing prices from different vendors
• Analyzing and evaluating quotes
• Negotiating and documenting contracts with subcontractors and suppliers
• Keeping supplier and subcontractor databases up to date
• Ensuring quality standards, deadlines, and costs are met
• Keeping an eye on budgets for construction projects and purchasing processes
• Working closely with technical departments
• Watching the market and spotting new suppliers and construction trends
• Helping develop purchasing strategies and processes

What we’re looking for:

• A degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a technical/commercial qualification
• Solid knowledge of relevant standards, regulations, and market conditions
• Good skills in drafting contracts
• Strong negotiation skills and assertiveness
• A real interest in and quick grasp of technical processes
• Great communication and teamwork skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and common bidding/purchasing tools
• An independent, structured, and goal-oriented way of working
• Excellent German (written and spoken); English is a plus
• An empathetic, communicative personality with a confident vibe and the drive to get involved with technical teams
