Tasks at Geiger

• Independently preparing annual financial statements according to HGB for companies of various legal forms within the Geiger Group
• Preparing tax balance sheets and corporate tax returns
• Helping with the preparation of group financial statements according to HGB including consolidation
• Handling and processing accounting and valuation issues in individual and group financial statements
• Contact person for auditors, tax consultants, and tax authorities
• Supporting tax audits and annual audits
• Helping to optimize closing and reporting processes
• Support with special tax and commercial law topics within the corporate group

What we're looking for

• Successfully completed training as a financial accountant (m/f/d), tax specialist (m/f/d), tax consultant (m/f/d), tax assistant (m/f/d) with relevant further training, or a business degree focusing on accounting, taxes, or auditing
• Several years of professional experience in preparing annual financial statements and tax returns
• Good knowledge of accounting according to HGB
• Ideally practical experience in group accounting and consolidation
• Confident handling of complex accounting and valuation issues
• Structured, independent, and analytical way of working
• Good knowledge of MS Office; knowledge of DATEV and IDL Konsis is a plus
