Your Responsibilities

STG Infrastruktur GmbH is a general contractor and civil engineering company focused on expanding fiber optic networks.

To grow our "Energy" division, we’re looking for a Head of Energy Projects to manage and develop our business in cable civil engineering (power), pipeline construction (gas, water, district heating), and sewer construction.

You’ll be in charge of landing new clients, looking after existing ones in the energy sector, and building up our internal capacity and skills. Your tasks include:

• Leading and developing the Energy Projects division.
• Snagging new projects in gas, water, district heating, and power grids, and managing the business side of things (calculations, quotes, controlling).
• Expanding into new business areas in the energy sector, like charging infrastructure, e-mobility, or wind farm connections.
• Running energy projects independently—working closely with site management, our own civil engineering and assembly teams, and external subcontractors.
• Making sure safety regs, legal requirements, and quality standards are always met.
• Specifically developing internal skills and capacities in the energy field.
• Representing our company to clients, partners, and authorities at the highest professional level.

Your Skills

• You have a degree in civil engineering or utility engineering—or a similar engineering degree with relevant work experience.
• You’ve got several years of leadership experience in pipeline, sewer, or cable civil engineering.
• You have deep technical knowledge of pipeline systems, welding tech, electrical assembly, and the relevant industry standards.
• You’re experienced in cost calculation, creating quotes, and the financial management of construction projects.
• You know how to handle subcontractors and have strong communication and negotiation skills.
• You work in a structured, independent, and solution-oriented way and know how to get things done.
• You’re tech-savvy with digital tools, especially for managing, documenting, and analyzing project KPIs.
• You speak fluent German, have good English skills, and hold a Class B driver’s license.
