Machine Operator training to become Assistant Operations Manager (m/f/d) – Zugspitze Cable Car & Glacier Lift

On behalf of our client, we’re looking for a Machine Operator to train as a Deputy Operations Manager (m/f/d) for the Zugspitze Cable Car & Glacier Railway. We’re seeking a dedicated operator who is either already qualified or ready to train up to become a deputy manager for cable cars and glacier lifts in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen region.

• Operating and monitoring cable car systems (like large reversible aerial tramways and glacier lifts) in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen/Grainau area
• Making sure everything runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently
• Handling inspections, maintenance, and repair work
• Analyzing faults and fixing technical issues
• Supporting management with organizational and operational tasks
• Standing in for the Operations Manager when they’re away
• Keeping up with legal regulations and internal safety standards
• Helping out with official inspections and technical audits
• Looking after our guests (crowd control/guidance)
• Training and developing staff, including cabin attendants and machine operators

If you:

• Have a completed technical background (e.g., cable car technician, mechatronics technician, locksmith, industrial mechanic, electrician, or similar)
• Have a solid technical grasp and a strong sense of responsibility
• Work independently, reliably, and in a structured way
• Are a team player with leadership potential
