Your role in the company
In this position, you’ll take full responsibility for project management in the areas of fire alarm systems (FAS) and video technology. The clear focus is on planning, managing, and implementing FAS projects in compliance with standards, as well as delivering sophisticated video technology solutions—from the initial technical design and commercial management all the way through to final acceptance with authorities and inspectors.
You’ll be the key point of contact for customers, project partners, and authorities, making sure all projects are delivered with high quality, on budget, and on schedule.
Your tasks at a glance
- Planning, managing, and delivering projects in fire alarm systems (FAS) and video technology
- Ensuring standards-compliant implementation in the FAS area in line with common standards such as DIN 14675
- Technical design/engineering of FAS and video systems, plus coordination with specialist planners, clients, authorities, and the fire department
- Coordinating and leading project teams (technicians, installers, draftspeople (all m/f/d))
- Responsibility for quality, deadlines, and costs across all project phases
- Preparing quotes, cost calculations, and change-order offers in collaboration with Sales and Management
- Technical and commercial project execution from order placement through acceptance
- Supporting commissioning as well as acceptance inspections by experts and authorities
- Documenting project progress, plus regular controlling and reporting
- Advising customers on modernization, expansion, and conversion projects in the FAS and video technology areas
Other systems like intrusion alarm systems (IAS), access control systems, or voice alarm systems (VAS) are a plus, but not the main focus of this role.
What sets you apart
- Completed technical training plus further qualification as a technician, master craftsman, engineer, or a comparable qualification in electrical engineering / security technology
- Several years of solid experience managing fire alarm system (FAS) projects, as well as in video technology / video surveillance systems
- Very good knowledge of relevant standards and guidelines in the FAS field (DIN 14675, VDE 0833-2, VdS, MLAR)
- Experience delivering demanding projects (commercial, industrial, or public-sector clients)
- Confidence dealing with authorities, inspectors, and other external stakeholders
- Experience leading and coordinating project teams
- Strong commercial understanding, plus experience with costing, quoting, and change-order management
- Structured, responsible, and solution-oriented way of working
- Business-fluent German (C1)
- Class B driver’s license and willingness to travel within the region
