Estimator / Cost Engineer (m/f/d) for modular housing construction

We’re looking for an Estimator / Cost Engineer (m/f/d) for serial housing construction on behalf of our client. This leading construction company brings together people who share one thing: a huge passion for what they do.

Your tasks:

• Strategic estimation support for product development: Ongoing consulting during the development of a modular wood-hybrid building system—focusing on manufacturing costs, design, function, and life cycle.
• Analyzing and implementing cost optimizations: Using methods like Design-to-Cost and technical standardization to find and unlock savings and optimization potential.
• Handling project estimation for the serial building system: Creating cost estimates for specific system projects in close coordination with the sales team.
• Coordinating interfaces between planning, product development, purchasing, and sales.

What we’re looking for:

• A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a similar technical background with relevant extra qualifications.
• Several years of experience in estimation and/or cost engineering, ideally in serial or industrial residential construction.
• Solid knowledge of estimation methods, especially Design-to-Cost, MEP and structural costs, and life cycle costs.
• Proficiency with standard estimation and planning tools (e.g., iTWO, Excel, BIM software, AVA systems).
• Strong analytical thinking with a high awareness of costs and quality.
• Great communication skills for working across different departments (planning, product development, sales).
• A team player who takes initiative and stays solution-oriented.
• An interest in sustainable and resource-friendly construction.
