Details about the role and requirements

We’re looking for a Security Systems Service Technician (m/f/d) on behalf of our client.

Welcome!

A leading player in the construction industry, we bring several specialized companies together under one roof. For nearly 60 years, we’ve been the go-to experts for security and telecommunications tech—ranging from fire alarms and voice alerts to full-scale security solutions for businesses of all sizes.

As part of YOUR team of over 500 colleagues, YOU’LL work on exciting projects using the latest tech, helping people and businesses stay safe. With us, YOU have the chance to make a real difference for our customers and for a safer future.

At our Oederan location, YOU’LL work in an environment that blends local roots with innovative technology. A tight-knit team, quick decision-making, and the beautiful Ore Mountains nearby define YOUR daily work life—personal, hands-on, and future-oriented.

YOUR Role in the Company

In this position, YOU are responsible for the professional installation, maintenance, and repair of security systems. YOU’LL work independently on diverse projects, ensuring our systems run reliably—from setup and commissioning to long-term support.

YOUR tasks at a glance:

  • Independent assembly, installation, programming, and commissioning of intrusion alarms, fire alarms, access control, CCTV, voice alarms, and electro-acoustic systems.
  • Creating and maintaining technical docs like wiring plans and site sketches, including documentation according to quality management standards.
  • Carrying out measurements and testing according to current standards (DIN VDE, EN 54, DIN 14675) and writing up the reports.
  • Maintenance, servicing, and troubleshooting of existing systems, including detailed documentation.
  • Communicating with customers, clients, and suppliers, as well as providing on-site, phone, or remote training and support.
  • Gathering customer feedback on upgrades or satisfaction and working closely with the Project Manager on billing.
  • Taking part in the on-call rotation.

What Makes YOU Stand Out

  • Completed vocational training in electrical engineering, IT/telecommunications, or similar fields (e.g., Electronics Technician for Energy and Building Technology, Systems Electronics Technician, or IT Specialist for System Integration).
  • Several years of professional experience in electrical engineering, security tech, or IT systems.
  • Hands-on experience in assembly, service, commissioning, and maintenance of security systems.
  • Solid knowledge in at least one area: Intrusion alarms, fire alarms, CCTV, access control, or voice/electro-acoustic systems.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards: DIN VDE, EN 54, DIN 14675, DIN 4102, MLAR.
  • Basic knowledge of business admin and IT.
  • An independent, structured, and solution-oriented way of working.
  • High reliability, commitment, and a "can-do" attitude.
  • Strong communication skills, teamwork, and a focus on the customer.
  • A confident, professional, and friendly manner.
  • Fluent German (C1 level).
  • Class B driver’s license.

YOUR Perks with Us

  • Permanent employment contract.
  • A crisis-proof industry.
  • 30 days of vacation.

  • A company car, also available for private use (1% rule).
  • Weekend work is rare to non-existent.
  • Multi-day assignments only happen with your explicit consent.
  • Training and development opportunities for professional and personal growth.
