We’re looking for a Sales Manager (m/f/d) for Security Technology on behalf of our client.

Your Role

In this position, you’ll represent the full portfolio of electronic security tech—everything from fire and burglar alarms to video surveillance, access control, and voice alarm systems. You’ll figure out what customers need, develop the right technical solutions, and manage the entire sales process until the deal is closed. With your technical know-how and consulting skills, you’ll help strengthen our client’s market position for the long haul.

Your tasks at a glance:

  • Actively hunting for new customers in the electronic security sector.
  • Looking after and growing existing accounts, including spotting opportunities for upgrades or expansions.
  • Identifying customer needs and designing tailor-made solutions (Fire, Burglary, Video, Access Control, etc.).
  • Presenting systems and services to both decision-makers and end-users.
  • Working closely with the tech, project management, and service teams to create custom quotes.
  • Managing the bidding process and project business, and helping out with negotiations.
  • Keeping an eye on market and tech trends to find new business opportunities.
  • Creating and maintaining process descriptions to keep sales running smoothly.
  • Helping optimize internal workflows, especially regarding quality assurance in service and customer communication.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • A technical or commercial background with further training (Technician, Master Craftsman, or a degree)—ideally in electrical, communication, or security engineering.
  • Several years of experience in security tech with a solid understanding of systems like fire/burglar alarms, CCTV, and access control.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards (like DIN 14675, VDE 0833, EN 54) is a plus.
  • Experience in technical sales, specifically in solution-based and project business.
  • Strong technical understanding paired with a business-oriented mindset.
  • Confident communication and negotiation skills when dealing with customers, partners, and tech departments.
  • A structured, independent, and solution-oriented way of working with plenty of initiative.
  • A strong focus on the customer and the ability to explain complex tech in simple terms.
  • Fluent German skills (C1 level).
