What you will do with us

Details about the role and requirements

We’re looking for a Security Systems Service Technician (m/f/d) on behalf of our client.

Our client is a top player in the construction industry with nearly 60 years of expertise in security and telecommunications—covering everything from fire alarms and voice alerts to full-scale security solutions for businesses of all sizes.

As part of a high-energy team of over 500 colleagues, you’ll work on cool projects using the latest tech, helping people and businesses stay safe. This is your chance to make a real impact for customers and build a safer future.

Based in one of Germany’s most exciting cities, you’ll enjoy modern offices, a well-connected team, and a variety of projects in a fast-paced environment.

Your Role

In this position, you’ll be the go-to person for installing, maintaining, and repairing security systems. You’ll work independently on diverse projects, making sure everything runs smoothly—from the initial setup and commissioning to long-term support.

Your tasks at a glance:

  • Independently assemble, install, program, and start up intruder alarms, fire alarms, access control, CCTV, voice alarms, and electro-acoustic systems.
  • Create and maintain technical docs like wiring plans and site sketches, including quality management documentation.
  • Handle measurements and testing according to industry standards (DIN VDE, EN 54, DIN 14675) and write up the reports.
  • Take care of maintenance, service, and troubleshooting for existing systems.
  • Chat and coordinate with customers, clients, and suppliers; provide on-site or remote training and support.
  • Keep track of customer feedback and upsell opportunities, working closely with the Project Manager on billing.
  • Take part in the on-call rotation.

What You Bring to the Table

  • A completed vocational degree in electrical engineering, IT, or telecommunications (e.g., Electronics Technician for Energy and Building Technology, Systems Integration, etc.).
  • Several years of experience in electrical engineering, security tech, or IT systems.
  • Hands-on experience in installing, servicing, and maintaining security systems.
  • Solid knowledge in at least one area: intruder alarms, fire alarms, video surveillance, access control, or voice alarm systems.
  • Familiarity with relevant standards (DIN VDE, EN 54, DIN 14675, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of business, IT, and software.
  • An independent, structured, and solution-oriented way of working.
  • Reliability, commitment, and a "get it done" attitude.
  • Great communication skills, a team-player mindset, and a focus on the customer.
  • A professional and friendly manner.
  • Fluent German (C1 level).
  • A valid driver’s license (Class B).

The Perks

  • Permanent employment contract.
  • A job in a crisis-proof industry.
  • 30 days of vacation.
  • 40-hour work week.
  • Modern tools and tech (iPhone, iPad).
  • A company car that you can also use privately (1% rule).
  • Weekend work is rare to non-existent.
  • Multi-day trips only happen if you explicitly agree to them.
  • Training and development opportunities to grow personally and professionally.
  • Private pension scheme.
  • "JobRad" (bike leasing).
  • Team events.
  • Access to various tax-free benefits.
