Details about the role and requirements

We’re looking for a Security Systems Service Technician (m/f/d) on behalf of our client.

Our client is a big name in the construction industry. For nearly 60 years, they’ve been the experts in security and telecommunications—handling everything from fire alarms and voice alerts to full-scale security setups for businesses of all sizes.

Joining a team of over 500 colleagues, you’ll work on cool projects using the latest tech, helping people and businesses stay safe. It’s a place where you can actually make a difference for customers and for a safer future.

Your Role

In this role, you’ll be the go-to person for installing, servicing, and maintaining security systems. You’ll work independently on various projects, making sure everything runs smoothly—from the initial setup and programming to long-term support.

Your tasks at a glance:

  • Keeping all technical paperwork up to date, like wiring plans and site sketches, and documenting everything according to quality standards.
  • Running tests and measurements based on industry standards (DIN VDE, EN 54, DIN 14675) and writing up the reports.
  • Handling maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting for existing systems.
  • Chatting with customers, clients, and suppliers, and showing users how to work the systems (on-site, over the phone, or remotely).
  • Keeping an eye on customer needs and feedback, and working closely with the Project Manager on billing.
  • Taking part in the on-call rotation.

What You Bring to the Table

  • A completed vocational degree in electrical engineering, IT, or telecommunications (e.g., Electronics Technician for Energy and Building Technology, Systems Integration, etc.).
  • A few years of experience in electrical work, security tech, or IT systems.
  • Hands-on experience with installing and servicing security systems.
  • Solid knowledge in at least one area: intruder alarms, fire alarms, CCTV, access control, or voice/PA systems.
  • Familiarity with relevant standards like DIN VDE, EN 54, DIN 14675, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of business, computers, and IT.
  • An independent, organized, and solution-oriented way of working.
  • Reliability, commitment, and a "get it done" attitude.
  • Great communication skills and a friendly, professional manner with customers.
  • Fluent German (C1 level).
  • A valid driver’s license (Class B).

What’s in it for You

  • A permanent employment contract.
  • A job in a recession-proof industry.
  • 30 days of vacation.
