We’re looking for a Sales Representative / Key Account Manager (m/f/d) in Security Technology on behalf of our client.

Your Role

In this position, you’ll take the lead on preparing and calculating quotes for security technology. You’ll check inquiries and tenders for technical and financial feasibility and develop tailor-made solutions for fire alarms, intrusion detection, access control, video tech, and other hazard alert systems. Acting as the main link between customers, project management, tech teams, purchasing, and management, you’ll guide projects from the first inquiry to the hand-off for implementation. You’ll also represent the company professionally during external client meetings.

Your tasks at a glance:

  • Receiving, checking, and processing customer inquiries, service specs, and tenders.
  • Independently creating, calculating, and following up on quotes based on technical specs, site visits, or project meetings.
  • Getting and evaluating supplier quotes and coordinating with purchasing and project management.
  • Handling price and contract negotiations with customers and partners.
  • Working closely with the tech team, CAD, back office, and management to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Supporting ongoing projects from a commercial perspective and clearing up any billing or complaint issues.
  • Attending external sales meetings to identify needs and advise customers.

What makes you a great fit

  • A technical or commercial background with further training as a technician, master craftsman, or a degree—ideally in electrical engineering, communications, or security tech.
  • Several years of professional experience in security technology with a solid understanding of systems like fire alarms (BMA), intrusion detection (EMA), video surveillance, access control, and voice alarms (SAA/ELA).
  • Knowledge of relevant standards (e.g., DIN 14675, VDE 0833, EN 54) is a plus.
  • Experience in technical sales, especially in solution-based and project business.
  • Strong technical understanding combined with a business-oriented mindset.
  • Confident communication and negotiation skills when dealing with customers, partners, and technical departments.
  • A structured, independent, and solution-oriented way of working with plenty of initiative.
  • A strong focus on the customer and the ability to explain complex technical stuff in a simple way.
  • Business-fluent German (C1).
