Your Role in the Company
In this role, you’ll take charge of preparing and calculating quotes for security technology. You’ll review inquiries and tenders for technical and financial feasibility, developing tailor-made solutions for fire alarms, intrusion detection, access control, video tech, and other hazard alert systems. Acting as the main link between customers, project management, tech teams, purchasing, and management, you’ll guide projects from the first inquiry to the hand-off for implementation, representing the company professionally at client meetings.
Your Tasks at a Glance:
- Receiving, checking, and processing customer inquiries, specifications, and tenders.
- Independently creating, calculating, and following up on quotes based on technical specs, site visits, or project meetings.
- Getting and evaluating supplier quotes and coordinating with purchasing and project leads.
- Handling price and contract negotiations with customers and partners.
- Working closely with the tech team, CAD, back office, and management to ensure smooth project execution.
- Supporting ongoing projects from a commercial side and clearing up any billing or complaint issues.
- Heading out to external sales meetings to identify needs and advise customers.
What Makes You Stand Out:
- A technical or commercial background with further training as a technician, master craftsman, or a degree—ideally in electrical engineering, communications, or security tech.
- Several years of experience in security technology with a solid understanding of systems like fire alarms, intrusion detection, CCTV, access control, and PA systems.
- Knowledge of relevant standards (e.g., DIN 14675, VDE 0833, EN 54) is a plus.
- Experience in technical sales, especially in solution-based and project business.
- Strong technical grasp combined with a business-oriented mindset.
- Confident communication and negotiation skills when dealing with customers, partners, and tech departments.
- A structured, independent, and solution-oriented way of working with plenty of initiative.
- A strong focus on the customer and the ability to explain complex tech in simple terms.
- Business-fluent German (C1).
