What you will do with us

Details about the role and requirements

Do you want to work on projects that are crucial for a secure and future-proof energy supply? You'll plan electrical systems for demanding infrastructure projects in the field of substations and energy plants, actively bringing your know-how to our project teams.

What's in it for you?

  • You'll plan and coordinate primary and secondary technology in substation projects from 110 to 380 kV.
  • You'll create plant layouts, circuit diagrams, and protection concepts while keeping relevant IEC and VDE standards in mind.
  • You'll coordinate the interfaces between primary planning (switchgear, transformers, grounding, and cable routes) and secondary planning (protection, control, and automation technology).
  • You'll work closely with network operators, construction companies, and manufacturers to align on technical standards.
  • You'll use modern CAE systems like Engineering Base, EPLAN, or RUPLAN, depending on your previous experience.
  • You'll implement customer-specific requirements, such as those from network operators.
  • You'll create technical documentation, specifications, and tender documents.
  • You'll support project management tasks, especially with scheduling, cost control, and quality assurance.
  • You'll get involved in our project workflows and help us keep improving quality and efficiency.

What should you bring to the table?

  • You have a completed technical education or a degree in electrical engineering.
  • You have solid knowledge of primary technology, especially in plant layout, high-voltage components, and grounding systems.
  • You're confident using planning tools like Engineering Base or EPLAN and have experience with AutoCAD.
  • You know the relevant standards, including IEC 81346, IEC 61850, VDE 0101, DIN EN 61936-1, and DIN EN 62271, as well as network operator standards.
  • Ideally, you already have experience in project management for energy plant construction, as well as retrofit and new construction projects with AIS or GIS systems.
  • You work in a structured and independent way, enjoy being part of a team, and are ready to occasionally visit construction sites or meet with customers.
