Our client is a leading construction player with over 80 companies. For over 100 years, they’ve stood for a pioneering spirit, tech expertise, and reliability in the industry. They specialize in high-end tunneling and underground projects, often acting as the general contractor.

To beef up the team in Stuttgart, we’re looking for an experienced pro to handle estimating and technical bidding for complex infrastructure projects.

🔍 The Nitty-Gritty of Your Tasks

As an experienced Estimator (m/f/d), you’ll play a key role in getting the numbers and tech specs right for bids:

• You’ll estimate complex tunneling projects, specifically open-cut and mining methods.
• You’ll develop technical concepts and alternative proposals that balance cost-effectiveness with technical feasibility.
• You’ll analyze tender documents, spot risks and opportunities, and create structured bills of quantities.
• You’ll coordinate internal and external stakeholders (like planners, suppliers, and partners) and work closely with department heads and site management.
• You’ll support contract negotiations and act as a sparring partner during project acquisition.

🎯 What You Should Bring to the Table

✅ A degree in Civil Engineering or something similar. ✅ Several years of experience (at least 3) in estimating large-scale projects. ✅ Solid skills in estimating software (like iTWO) and knowledge of German construction contract law (VOB). ✅ A strong business mindset and a good feel for costs, deadlines, and feasibility. ✅ A team player with a backbone, reliability, and a love for working across different disciplines. ✅ Very good German skills, both written and spoken (at least C1 level) – you need to be able to handle technical, financial, and legal content precisely and negotiate with confidence.
