Metalworker as Fitter/Service Tech (m/f/d) for Gates and Barriers in Bonn
What you will do with us
We’re looking for a Metalworker to join our client’s team as a Fitter/Service Technician (m/f/d) for gate and barrier systems in Bonn. Our client is a leading, family-run craft business in the construction industry and is one of the top employers for technicians in the region. They’ve got a great team with a clear goal: quality work, happy customers, and a fair workplace. You can look forward to exciting tasks, varied projects with well-known clients, and fair pay. If you’re looking for a secure job with a future, like getting stuck in with a team, and want to show what you can do, this is the place for you!
Don't worry: "Gate Technician" isn't a specific trade you can study—our client will teach you everything you need to know!
Your Tasks:
- Installing and setting up gates, barriers, and parking systems
- Carrying out repairs and installation work
- Heading out on independent service calls for gate and barrier systems
- Troubleshooting various drives and control systems
- Maintaining and testing the systems you look after
- Handling paperwork (e.g., deficiency reports, test logs)
- Installing fire protection and hold-open systems
- Giving professional advice to customers on-site
Don’t sweat it, you don’t have to do everything at once. The team is usually split into focus areas like "Customer Service," "Assembly/Repairs," and "Maintenance." You’ll mostly work in one of these areas, but depending on the workload and what you’re interested in, things can be mixed up. It’s really important to our client to take your personal wishes and needs into account.
Your Profile:
- You’ve completed an apprenticeship in metalworking or something similar
- You’re handy and have a basic understanding of electronics
- Experience in gate technology assembly or service is a plus, but not a dealbreaker
- You enjoy dealing with customers
- You’re a reliable, responsible, and loyal colleague
- Your strengths include teamwork, curiosity, a quick mind, and a "can-do" attitude
- Driver’s license class B (BE would be perfect)
- You’re good at staying organized and working structured
- You’re comfortable working at heights
- You enjoy learning new things and growing your skills
Sound like you? Then join the team—our client’s doors (and gates) are wide open for you!
