Details about the role and requirements

Company Description

Wahl ElektroTechnik GmbH, part of the Wahl Group, has been providing high-quality electrical and building technology solutions since 2004. We focus on planning, manufacturing, and installing electrical systems in the public sector – from schools and admin buildings to complex existing and new constructions. Besides classic electrical engineering, we also handle modern security and info tech, including fire alarm systems (BMA), burglar alarms (EMA), and smart lighting systems for construction projects in technical building equipment (TGA).

What makes us special: a strong team that sticks together. Around 30 colleagues work closely here – with quick decision-making, real support in daily work, and open, straightforward cooperation at eye level.

Our projects are as diverse as our clients: different buildings, changing requirements, and constant new technical challenges make for a varied workday where personal responsibility and teamwork are both key. Most of our work is in the Berlin area.

To strengthen our team, we're looking for a Site Manager (m/f/d) Electrical Engineering, ideally with a background as an electronics technician, electrician, or master electrician, to organize our construction sites independently on-site and ensure the smooth implementation of our projects in TGA and building technology.

The Tasks

  • As a site manager, you're the main contact on-site and take charge of organizing and controlling the electrical construction work.
  • You coordinate the assembly crews, subcontractors, and other trades on-site.
  • You ensure a smooth construction process and monitor quality, deadlines, and work safety on-site.
  • You're responsible for material planning, measurements, and full site documentation.
  • You coordinate closely with project management, clients, and specialist planners to ensure the plans are implemented cleanly on-site.
  • You support the practical development of our apprentices on the respective construction site.

The Requirements

  • Completed training in electrical engineering, e.g., electronics technician (m/f/d) or electrician (m/f/d), with several years of professional experience, ideally topped off with master electrician training (m/f/d).
  • Experience in leading and organizing electrical construction sites with an order volume >100k EUR.
  • Basic knowledge of business administration and confident use of IT systems.
  • Independent, responsible, and structured way of working.
  • Initial experience dealing with VOB (German construction contract procedures) as well as warranty and contract law.

The Offer

Pay & Security:

  • Collectively agreed annual gross salary including vacation and special bonuses.
  • Company health insurance.
  • Option to use a JobRad (company bike).
  • Childcare allowance.
  • Transparent and fair pay for overtime and jobs with longer commutes.

Working Hours & Vacation:

  • 40 hours a week, usually from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
  • Work until 1:30 PM on Fridays.
  • Time account for overtime.
  • 30 days of vacation based on a 5-day week.

Equipment & Work Environment:

  • No assembly travel (local work).
  • High-quality workwear and tools for a pleasant and professional work environment.

Training & Development:

  • Regular technical exchange within the team.
  • Continuous opportunities for personal growth through targeted seminars and product training.

Team & Company Culture:

  • On a first-name basis and real togetherness in a strong team.
  • Quick decision-making and open communication.
  • Straightforward cooperation at eye level – with a good work-life balance.

Digitalization & Organization:

  • Digital tracking of working hours, vacation requests, and tool management.
  • Easy internal communication via a messenger service.
