What you’ll do at Geiger

• Purchase materials, raw/auxiliary/operating supplies, and services from subcontractors
• Create RFQs and service specifications including bills of quantities
• Ensure on-time procurement and run price comparisons between suppliers
• Analyze and evaluate offers/quotes
• Negotiate and document contracts with subcontractors and suppliers
• Maintain supplier and subcontractor databases
• Make sure quality standards, deadlines, and costs are met
• Budget control for construction projects and purchasing processes
• Work closely with the specialist departments
• Monitor the market and identify new suppliers and construction industry trends
• Support the development of purchasing strategies and processes

What we’re looking for

• Completed degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, or training as a technician / commercial specialist (Handelsfachwirt)
• Solid knowledge of relevant standards, regulations, and market conditions
• Good knowledge of contract design/drafting
• Strong negotiation skills and assertiveness
• Strong interest in technical processes, with quick understanding
• Very good communication and teamwork skills
• Confident with MS Office and common tendering and purchasing tools
• Independent, structured, and goal-oriented way of working
• Very good German skills (spoken and written), ideally also English
• An empathetic, communicative personality with a confident presence and motivation to actively engage with the specialist departments
