Tasks at Geiger:

• Purchasing of materials, raw materials, supplies, and consumables as well as subcontractor services
• Creating inquiries and service descriptions with bills of quantities
• On-time procurement and price comparisons among providers
• Analysis and evaluation of offers
• Contract negotiation and documentation with subcontractors and suppliers
• Maintaining supplier and subcontractor databases
• Ensuring quality standards, deadlines, and costs
• Budget control for construction projects and purchasing processes
• Close cooperation with specialist departments
• Market monitoring and identification of new suppliers and trends in the construction industry
• Support in developing purchasing strategies and processes

What we're looking for:

• Completed degree in business administration, industrial engineering, civil engineering, or technician training / commercial specialist
• Solid knowledge of relevant standards, regulations, and market conditions
• Good knowledge of contract design
• Negotiation skills and assertiveness
• Strong interest, understanding, and quick grasp of technical processes
• Very good communication and teamwork skills
• Confident use of MS Office and common tendering and purchasing tools
• Independent, structured, and goal-oriented way of working
• Very good German skills in speaking and writing, ideally also English skills
• Empathic and communicative personality paired with a confident appearance and motivation for active engagement with the specialist departments
