Your tasks at Geiger:

• Buying materials, raw goods, supplies, and subcontractor services
• Putting together inquiries and job specs with bills of quantities
• Making sure everything is procured on time and comparing prices from different vendors
• Analyzing and evaluating quotes
• Negotiating and documenting contracts with subcontractors and suppliers
• Keeping our supplier and subcontractor databases up to date
• Ensuring quality standards, deadlines, and costs are met
• Keeping an eye on budgets for construction projects and purchasing processes
• Working closely with our specialist departments
• Watching the market and spotting new suppliers and construction trends
• Helping develop purchasing strategies and processes

What we’re looking for:

• A degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a background as a technician/commercial specialist
• Solid knowledge of relevant standards, regulations, and market conditions
• Good at drafting contracts
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to hold your ground
• A real interest in and quick understanding of technical processes
• Great communication and teamwork skills
• Proficient with MS Office and standard bidding/purchasing tools
• An independent, organized, and goal-oriented way of working
• Excellent German (written and spoken); English is a plus
• An empathetic, communicative personality with a confident vibe and the drive to get involved with the technical teams
