Your tasks at Geiger:

• Buying materials, raw materials, supplies, and subcontractor services
• Putting together inquiries and job specs with bills of quantities
• Making sure everything is procured on time and comparing prices from different vendors
• Analyzing and evaluating quotes
• Negotiating and documenting contracts with subcontractors and suppliers
• Keeping supplier and subcontractor databases up to date
• Ensuring quality standards, deadlines, and costs are met
• Keeping an eye on budgets for construction projects and purchasing processes
• Working closely with specialized departments
• Watching the market and spotting new suppliers and construction trends
• Helping develop purchasing strategies and processes

What we’re looking for:

• A degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, or training as a Technician/Trade Specialist
• Solid knowledge of relevant standards, regulations, and market conditions
• Good skills in drafting contracts
• Strong negotiation skills and assertiveness
• A real interest in, and quick grasp of, technical processes
• Great communication and teamwork skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and common bidding/purchasing tools
• An independent, structured, and goal-oriented way of working
• Very good German skills (written and spoken); English is a plus
• An empathetic and communicative personality with a confident vibe and the drive to actively engage with other departments
