Your tasks at Geiger

• Purchasing materials, raw/auxiliary/operating supplies, as well as services from subcontractors
• Creating inquiries and scopes of work with bills of quantities
• On-time procurement and price comparisons between suppliers
• Analyzing and evaluating offers
• Contract negotiations and contract documentation with subcontractors and suppliers
• Maintaining supplier and subcontractor databases
• Ensuring quality standards, deadlines, and costs
• Budget control for construction projects and purchasing processes
• Close collaboration with the specialist departments
• Monitoring the market and identifying new suppliers and construction industry trends
• Supporting the development of purchasing strategies and processes

What we’re looking forward to

• Completed degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a technical qualification / commercial specialist qualification
• Solid knowledge of relevant standards, regulations, and market conditions
• Good knowledge of contract drafting
• Strong negotiation skills and assertiveness
• Strong interest in and understanding of technical processes, with a quick grasp
• Very good communication and teamwork skills
• Confident with MS Office and common tendering and purchasing tools
• Independent, structured, and goal-oriented way of working
• Very good German skills (spoken and written), ideally also English skills
• An empathetic, communicative personality with a confident presence and motivation to actively engage with the specialist departments
