Your tasks at Geiger:

• Buying materials, raw materials, supplies, and services from subcontractors
• Creating inquiries and service descriptions with bills of quantities
• On-time procurement and price comparisons among suppliers
• Analyzing and evaluating offers
• Negotiating contracts and documenting them with subcontractors and suppliers
• Maintaining supplier and subcontractor databases
• Making sure quality standards, deadlines, and costs are met
• Budget control for construction projects and purchasing processes
• Working closely with specialist departments
• Market monitoring and finding new suppliers and trends in the construction industry
• Helping develop purchasing strategies and processes

What we're looking for:

• A degree in business administration, industrial engineering, civil engineering, or training as a technician / trade specialist
• Solid knowledge of relevant standards, regulations, and market conditions
• Good skills in drafting contracts
• Negotiation skills and assertiveness
• Strong interest, understanding, and quick grasp of technical processes
• Great communication and teamwork skills
• Confident using MS Office and common tendering and purchasing tools
• Independent, structured, and goal-oriented way of working
• Very good German skills (written and spoken), ideally English too
• Empathic and communicative personality paired with a confident manner and motivation to actively engage with the departments
