What you’ll do at Geiger

  • Cost/strategy support for product development: Ongoing advice throughout the development of a modular timber hybrid building system – with a focus on manufacturing costs, design, function, and lifecycle
  • Analyze and implement cost optimizations: Use methods like design-to-cost and construction standardization to identify and realize savings and optimization potential in the building system
  • Own project costing for the serial building system: Prepare cost estimates for specific implementation projects of the system, working closely with Sales
  • Coordinate interfaces between Planning, Product Development, Purchasing, and Sales

What we’re looking for

  • Completed degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Industrial Engineering, Architecture, or a comparable technical qualification with relevant additional training
  • Several years of experience in estimating and/or cost engineering, ideally in serial or industrial residential construction
  • Solid know-how in applying costing methods, especially design-to-cost, MEP and structural shell costs, as well as lifecycle costs
  • Confident with common estimating and planning tools (e.g., iTWO, Excel, BIM software, tendering/contract award/billing systems)
  • Strong analytical mindset with a high awareness of cost and quality
  • Great communication skills across interdisciplinary interfaces (Planning, Product Development, Sales)
  • Team player with initiative and a solution-focused approach
  • Interest in sustainable, resource-efficient building
