Your tasks at Geiger

• Cost/strategy support for product development: Ongoing consulting throughout the development of a modular timber-hybrid building system – focusing on manufacturing costs, design, function, and lifecycle
• Analyzing and implementing cost optimizations: Using methods like design-to-cost and construction standardization to identify and realize savings and optimization potential in the building system
• Responsible for project cost estimates in the serial building system: Preparing estimates for specific implementation projects of the system in close coordination with Sales
• Coordinating interfaces between Planning, Product Development, Purchasing, and Sales

What we’re looking for

• Completed degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Industrial Engineering, Architecture, or a comparable technical qualification with relevant additional training
• Several years of experience in estimating and/or cost engineering, ideally in serial or industrial residential construction
• Solid knowledge of estimating methods, especially design-to-cost, MEP and structural shell costs, as well as lifecycle costs
• Confident with common estimating and planning tools (e.g., iTWO, Excel, BIM software, tendering/contract systems)
• Strong analytical mindset with a high awareness of cost and quality
• Strong communication skills across interdisciplinary interfaces (Planning, Product Development, Sales)
• Team player with initiative and a solution-focused approach
• Interest in sustainable, resource-efficient construction
