The Libori Gallery is a large, bright shopping center that opened in 1995 in the heart of Paderborn. Spread over five floors and an area of over 20,000 m², it houses shops, restaurants, a cinema, and a bowling alley.

At the end of 2020, renovations were due on the ground floor, to which Rocket Floor was able to contribute. Our tilers did a great job around the escalators, in the corridors, and in the Rossmann drugstore. We were also allowed to take over the tile laying in the ice cream parlor's ice lab, where the in-house ice cream is made.

The floor of the gallery was very uneven and was leveled with a leveling compound. In total, over 1,000 m² of the porcelain stoneware tile Solids from Mosa in the square format 90×90 cm were laid on the floor, in the thin-bed method, in a cross bond. Around the escalators, the architect planned a special, circular tile laying, where the ice cream café serves its guests. Another circle serves as an action area where various companies can present their goods.

For the two circles, 175 m² of the Solids tile in black were laid. The adjacent area of 911 m² was contrasted with the Solids in white. This unique look in the heart of the shopping center is a real highlight.

Tiles were also laid in the wall area, in the thin-bed method, in a cross bond. The Rope tile from Gigacer was chosen for this. Rope creates a special look on the walls of the gallery, as a combination of matte, shiny, and structured surface patterns were laid. The tile was laid upright in 60×120 cm on the walls of the corridors. In addition, the area around the elevators was laid from floor to ceiling in a cross bond with the Rope tile in 120×120 cm.

Die Libori Galerie ist ein großes, helles Einkaufszentrum, das im Jahr 1995 im Herzen von Paderborn eröffnet wurde. Auf fünf Etagen und einer Fläche von über 20.000 m² befinden sich Geschäfte, Restaurants sowie ein Kino und eine Bowlingbahn.

Ende des Jahres 2020 standen Modernisierungen im Erdgeschoss an, zu denen Rocket Floor beitragen durfte. Rund um die Rolltreppen, auf den Gängen und im Drogeriemarkt Rossmann haben unsere Fliesenleger ganze Arbeit geleistet. Auch im Eislabor der Eisdiele, in dem das hauseigene Eis hergestellt wird, durften wir die Fliesenverlegung übernehmen.

Der Boden der Galerie war sehr uneben und wurde mit einer Ausgleichsmasse angeglichen. Insgesamt wurden über 1.000 m² der Feinsteinzeug-Fliese Solids von Mosa im quadratischen Format 90×90 cm auf dem Boden, im Dünnbettverfahren, im Kreuzverband verlegt. Rund um die Rolltreppen hat der Architekt eine besondere, kreisförmige Fliesenverlegung geplant, auf dem das Eiscafé seine Gäste bewirtet. Ein weiterer Kreis dient als Aktionsfläche, wo verschiedene Unternehmen ihre Ware präsentieren können.

Für die beiden Kreise wurden 175 m² der Fliese Solids in Schwarz verlegt. Die angrenzende Fläche von 911 m² wurde als Kontrast mit der Solids in Weiß verlegt. Dieser einzigartige Look im Herzen des Einkaufszentrums ist ein wahres Highlight.

Auch im Wandbereich wurden Fliesen, im Dünnbettverfahren, im Kreuzverband verlegt. Dafür wurde die Fliese Rope von Gigacer gewählt. Rope zaubert einen besonderen Look an die Wände der Galerie, da eine Kombination aus matten, glänzenden und strukturieren Oberflächenmustern verlegt wurde. An den Wänden der Gänge wurde die Fliese in 60×120 cm hochkant verlegt. Außerdem wurde der Bereich rund um die Aufzüge deckenhoch im Kreuzverband mit der Fliese Rope in 120×120 cm verlegt.

In the southwestern district of Dahn, a new Penny Markt will be opened in September 2021, with Rocket Floor responsible for the tile installation. The city of Dahn is a state-recognized health resort and is not only home to over 4,000 residents, but also a destination for many tourists.

In the entire market, including sanitary facilities, WC, storage and bakery, over 1400 m² of the Topgres tile "Penny" in gray was laid in a vibration method, in a cross bond.

The special thing about the vibration method is that a contact slurry of cement, adhesive and quartz sand is applied to the freshly laid screed, on which the tiles are then laid and compacted using a vibrating plate. This special type of installation is faster than the conventional adhesive method, as no primer needs to be applied and the drying time of the screed is saved. Laying and jointing materials are processed wet in wet and are coordinated in such a way that they bind simultaneously and create a firm connection between the substrate and the porcelain stoneware tiles.

With the vibration method, tiles can be laid in various formats. For the Penny Markt in Dahn, a square, 45×45 cm large porcelain stoneware tile with a matte surface and a slip resistance of R10 was laid. With a thickness of 15 mm, the tiles are particularly resistant and durable, making them ideal for shopping centers. To create a uniform image, a baseboard from the same series was chosen.

On the walls of the bakery, the sanitary facilities and the cleaning supplies room, the glossy wall tile Iceland One by Topgres, in white, with a size of 30×60 cm, was chosen and laid using the adhesive method in a cross bond.

We are proud to be part of such an interesting project in such a wonderful environment.

Im südwestpfälzischem Landkreis Dahn wird im September 2021 ein neuer Penny Markt eröffnet, bei dem Rocket Floor für die Fliesenverlegung zuständig war. Die Stadt Dahn ist ein staatlich anerkannter Luftkurort und so nicht nur die Heimat von über 4000 Einwohnern, sondern auch Reiseziel vieler Touristen.

Im kompletten Markt einschließlich Sanitäranlagen, WC, Lager und Backshop wurden über 1400 m² der Topgres-Fliese „Penny“ in grau, im Rüttelverfahren, im Kreuzverband, verlegt. 

Das Besondere am Rüttelverfahren ist, dass auf den frisch eingebrachten Estrich eine Kontaktschlemme aus Zement, Kleber und Quarzsand aufgetragen wird, auf der dann die Fliesen verlegt und mittels Rüttelplatte verfestigt werden. Diese besondere Art der Verlegung ist schneller als das herkömmliche Klebeverfahren, da keine Grundierung aufgetragen werden muss und die Trocknungszeit des Estrichs gespart wird. Verlege- und Fugenmaterial werden nass in nass verarbeitet und sind so aufeinander abgestimmt, dass sie gleichzeitig abbinden und eine feste Verbindung zwischen dem Untergrund und den Feinsteinzeugfliesen schaffen.

Bei dem Rüttelverfahren können Fliesen in verschiedenen Formaten verlegt werden. Für den Penny-Markt in Dahn wurde eine quadratische, 45×45 cm große Feinsteinzeugfliese mit einer matten Oberfläche und einer Rutschfestigkeit von R10 verlegt. Durch die Stärke von 15 mm sind die Fliesen besonders widerstandsfähig und belastbar und damit ideal für Einkaufszentren geeignet. Um ein einheitliches Bild zu schaffen, wurde ein Sockel aus der gleichen Serie gewählt.

An den Wänden der Backausgabe, der Sanitäranlagen und des Putzmittelraums wurde die glänzende Wandfliese Iceland One von Topgres, in weiß, mit einem Maß von 30×60 cm, gewählt und mittels Klebeverfahren im Kreuzverband verlegt.

Wir sind stolz, dass wir Teil eines so interessanten Projekts in so einer herrlichen Umgebung sein dürfen.

Hello from Hamburg! Xing's head office is soon moving to the Hanseatic city. Xing is a social network that gives members the opportunity to connect primarily with professional contacts and is mainly active in German-speaking countries. The new location is the completely renovated, special building of the former German headquarters of Unilever with a view of the Elbe.

In the new office, tiles had to be laid - the installation was taken over by Rocket Floor. The subfloor on the construction site had to be significantly raised, as thick natural stone was previously laid in the rooms. For this, our tilers used leveling mortar, which was pumped onto the surface using a special machine.

The 250 m² of the employee canteen were equipped with a 60×120 cm large concrete look floor tile with a slip resistance of R10 B.

The tile from the Italian supplier AET in Shadow Grey was provided by the construction site and laid by us in a random pattern. This laying technique makes the room homely and cozy, so that the employees can feel comfortable and enjoy their break here.

The sanitary facilities were equipped in a cross pattern with 120 m² of the Topgres tile Futura in black and gray, with a slip resistance of R10 B, in the format 30×60 cm.

In the kitchen area of Xing, the special wall tile Stage, from Topgres, in shiny Emerald, with a dimension of 7.5×30 cm, adorns the walls. The wall tile Stage, laid in a half offset pattern, sets a highlight and skillfully combines elegance with sophisticated design.

We are proud to have been able to contribute to this major project, with the best view of the Elbe.

Moin moin aus Hamburg! Für das Xing Headoffice steht bald ein Umzug in die Hansestadt bevor. Xing ist ein soziales Netzwerk, welches Mitgliedern die Möglichkeit gibt, sich vor allem mit beruflichen Kontakten zu vernetzen und ist überwiegend im deutschsprachigen Raum aktiv. Der neue Standort ist das komplett renovierte, besondere Gebäude der ehemaligen Deutschlandzentrale von Unilever mit Blick auf die Elbe.

Im neuen Office sollten Fliesen verlegt werden – die Verlegung hat Rocket Floor übernommen. Der Untergrund auf der Baustelle musste stark erhöht werden, da in den Räumlichkeiten vorher dicker Naturstein lag. Dafür haben unsere Fliesenleger Ausgleichsmörtel verwendet, der mithilfe einer Spezialmaschine auf die Fläche gepumpt wurde.

Die 250 m² der Mitarbeiter-Kantine wurden mit einer 60×120 cm großen Betonoptik-Bodenfliese mit einer Rutschfestigkeit von R10 B ausgestattet.

Die Fliese von dem italienischen Lieferanten AET in Shadow Grey wurde bauseits gestellt und von uns im Wildverband verlegt. Diese Verlegetechnik macht den Raum wohnlich und gemütlich, sodass die Mitarbeiter sich hier wohlfühlen und ihre Pause genießen können.

Die Sanitäranlagen wurden im Kreuzverband mit 120 m² der Topgres-Fliese Futura in Schwarz und Grau, mit einer Rutschfestigkeit von R10 B, in dem Format 30×60 cm ausgestattet.

In dem Küchenbereich von Xing ziert die besondere Wandfliese Stage, von Topgres, in glänzendem Emerald, mit einem Maß von 7,5×30 cm, die Wände. Die Wandfliese Stage, verlegt im Halbverband, setzt ein Highlight und kombiniert Eleganz gekonnt mit anspruchsvollem Design.

Wir sind stolz, dass wir an diesem Großprojekt, mit bestem Blick auf die Elbe, mitarbeiten durften.
