The city of Düren is making a statement for a cleaner environment and less traffic noise. With the innovative Clean Air Asphalt, or #ClAir® Asphalt for short, not only is the quality of the roads improved, but it also actively helps reduce pollutants and nitrogen oxides in the air. ClAir® Asphalt is a top layer of asphalt developed by the STRABAG Competence Center #TPA in collaboration with nine partners from science and industry, as part of the NaHiTAs research project (sustainable high-tech asphalt) and with funding from the @BMBF.
