Keller in Rinteln usable again after horizontal barrier

The couple Ramona and Stefan Requardt, both from Rinteln, fulfilled a wish and acquired a three-family house in their hometown after living in Bonn for seven years. The house, with 310 m² of living space and a large basement, dates back to 1930 and had to be completely renovated and restored in many areas before it could be used. Although the couple was able to do many of the work themselves, they saw no other option than to hire a renovation company for the full basement of the building. The moisture damage in the basement of their own home was already noticeable during the first viewing, with a musty smell and peeling plaster on the walls. The previous owners of the house on the outskirts of Rinteln also confirmed the moisture problems. A comprehensive renovation before further use of the residential building was therefore essential.
