Project Description
With the Hochstraße Süd, one of the most important infrastructure projects in the region is being built in Ludwigshafen. The new bridge replaces the old 'mushroom' elevated road and creates a powerful connection for inner-city traffic as well as the link to the national road network. The bridge structure, which is over 500 meters long with spans exceeding 30 meters, stands out due to its size and technical complexity: extensive foundation work, modern structural solutions, and a construction method that meets high safety standards as well as urban integration. Getting this done requires precise coordination and top-notch engineering. With a project volume in the mid double-digit millions, the Hochstraße Süd is a strong sign for the future-proofing of infrastructure in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region. The project stands for an innovative, sustainable, and efficient way of building that will meet the needs of the coming decades.
