Project Description
The existing B 33 between Radolfzell and Konstanz is overloaded with traffic and will be expanded from two to four lanes. To relieve the population and protect them from noise, the road in the Allensbach area will be routed through a tunnel about 1,000 meters long, the Röhrenberg Tunnel.
The tunnel, designed as a two-cell reinforced concrete frame, along with an adjacent operations building, will be constructed using an open-cut method. Additional protection will be provided by structures and noise barriers up to 6 meters high.
Our construction activities will begin in mid-2024. The shell construction will be completed by mid-2028, allowing traffic to flow on the new roadway by the end of 2029. To ensure that existing traffic can continue without interruption during the construction period, work will be carried out parallel to the roadway.
The overall completion of the expansion and new construction of the B 33 is expected by 2034.
